The main objective of SQUARE is to build a stronger sense of community within the (Swinburne) Faculty of Design building. A space for collaboration across all the disciplines whether it be physical or online, a space for sharing knowledge, building a support network and offering workshops, competitions and classes – unrelated to the design courses however – beneficial to the students and alumni, creating life long learners with a focus on sustainable education.

Great initiative, I wish you well, There is genuine need to for designers to celebrate and acknowledge design activities and the value of converstions / sharing ideas.
Have you come across a group called Em3rge they are a group of like minded students wanting do something similar but across all universities and design disciplines. They do some interesting stuff and hold social and design events. Check them out. http://www.em3rge.com. Cheers, stephen
